John D. Rockefeller, born on July 8th, 1893 in New York, possessed a strong understanding of money from an early age. At the age of 12, he lent $50 at a 7% interest rate to a local farmer. In the late 1800s, Rockefeller monopolized the oil industry and amassed great wealth.

Rockefeller later shifted his focus away from oil and dedicated himself to enhancing Manhattan. This led to the creation of the Rockefeller Center during the early to mid-1900s. Opening its doors for business in 1933, this center was intended as a gift for residents and visitors alike who wished to admire th

e city.

In the 1950s, significant events took place at Rockefeller Center. The Today Show began broadcasting live from one of its buildings known as "30 Rock," while Marilyn Monroe inaugurated the "sidewalk superintendents' club" at another building called Time & Life's construction site. These occurrences increased recognition for Rockefeller Center as an entertainment hub.

Despite his vast wealth and influence, John D. Rockefeller remained humble and never forgot his modest beginnings. He once remarked,'If your sole aim is to become rich, you will never attain it.'
