Came up with the Theory of Psychosocial Development. In each stage people experience a conflict that serves as a turning point in development. Passing or failing determines personal growth or stunt, but you can always pass the stage at a later point in life.

8 distinct stages with two possible outcomes:pass or fail. Passing results in a healthy personality and successful interactions with others. Failing can mean a reduced ability to complete further stages and therefore a more unhealthy personality and sense of self. Even if failed they can be passed later on.
