Read 1 Corinthians 1: 20-29 and the discussion in the textbook. What does the textbook mean with regard to wisdom that Christ being crucified is “a stumbling block to the Jews and folly to the Gentiles,” but also is “the power of God and the wisdom of God?”
There is no foolishness or weakness in God, but what humans going down the path to destruction see as such overcomes their admired wisdom and strength.
