Factors that May Lead to Addiction
Addiction especially for abuse of substances can be caused by several factors. The most common factors that lead to addiction includes natural components, personal, geographical and demographical compositions. There are several intervention models but the most appropriate model to these factors is a six-step model. This is a method that researchers have to follow a step-to-step method towards getting the solution. The steps include defining the problem caused, ensuring client safety, providing support, examining support, making plans and obtaining commitment (Wiley Periodicals, 2006). The provided stepwise procedure is two way traffic, that is, it involves two parties, the victim and the
professional. It takes critical analysis to come up with a correct prescription for the patient.
