College education is very crucial in the academic life of those who participate in the education. This is because it is the avenue through which they expound on their careers and their talents. However, there are those students who fail to get the way out in seeking the college education due to lack of finances as a result of varied reasons. As such, there is a need for the government to come up with a plan to make the college education affordable, be it through subsidization or free tuition to all. This proposal advocates for elimination of tuition fees for all college students so that the poor ones get equal chances to learn just like their privileged counterparts. The reason is that, once the program becomes free, the government will take up the burden of funding the education, and the colleges cannot exploit the government. Therefore, making college education free will reduce chances of colleges exploiting students through payment of fees.

Making college education free will increase the number of qualified personnel to work in various parts of the economy because many students will have a chance to pursue their careers courses. Therefore, this will definitely reduce the chances of outsourcing labor that might have a negative effect on the state of the country’s economy (DeMillo, et al. 194). More to that, the level of production will increase as well as the quality of goods produced because every department will have enough qualified workers. The implication is that the country’s economy will improve and thus becoming competitive in the world economy. Those who would have lost the chance to develop their capabilities due to lack of finances will benefit a lot, and their dreams will eventually come true. loan to access higher education.

Educating as many students as possible will reduce the level of dependability. The reason is that, once they are educated, they become self-reliant after securing a job (Samuels 115). The same benefit will not be realizable if they do not get a chance to have the education. It is more so in the case of the bright students who miss the chance due to lack of money. In fact, such students are the ones who would benefit most in case such a program comes to force. The program would further help to curb the cases of unemployment in the country. Most of the entities in the economy require educated personnel, and as such, a free college education would enable students to savor the benefits arising from offering their services to those entities. This employment is the one that will reduce dependence. The only way to reduce the level of poverty is to educate members of the society. Students from a poor background, once they get the education, they are likely to change the way of life of their parents, thus reducing the level of poverty.

However, there are inherent objections facing the government’s attempts to make college education affordable to all in the United States of America. One of the objections that any sound-minded person can raise is about the cost of offering the free college education (Samuels 88). Cost is a challenge in its respect because the number of students seeking the free opportunity may increase at an alarming rate, and this implies that the more the students, the higher the cost of maintaining the program. Giving free education is very

demanding in terms of the inherent costs. However, there are other options for dealing with the cost of offering the college education to all students and especially the neediest cases. To solve that problem, both federal and state governments may decide to offer subsidized education. They can do so by catering to their parents and their lives, thus boosting their standards of living through poverty eradication.

Another objection may be the determination of the needy cases that deserve to receive the financial aid. The reason is that all students will flood the colleges irrespective of whether they come from rich or poor families (Samuels 118). Such influx of students will pose a challenge in the maintenance of the program due to the escalating costs. To solve this challenge, there is need to come up with a methodology for determining the needy and deserving cases. This is achievable through vetting of the students by having them fill application forms, whose details may include, and not limited to, the background information about the students and the financial capabilities of their parents or guardians. By so doing, there will be appropriate, and a manageable number of the students benefiting from the plan, and considerable costs will be saved.

The credibility of the studies given under such a plan is also a challenge that would face the program (Samuels 123). This is more so if the professors feel that they are not well taken care of about the number of students they teach and comparing to their pay. To solve this problem, there need for the government to increase the number of qualifies lecturers in line with the number of students

joining the college, to ensure that there is a considerable lecturer to students’ ratio. This will facilitate the proper offering of services to ensure that the students get the right quality of education that will increase their competence in the job market. It would be a waste of time if they get a free college education and in the process, end up getting a useless education that cannot assist them to get jobs. This explains why there is a need for the lecturers to be properly remunerated according to the amount of work they do, to boost morale.

In conclusion, therefore, it is important to remember that the main idea is about the provision of an affordable quality college education to all students in the United States of America. The issues raised in the past have chances of getting solutions, provided that all parties involved work wholeheartedly towards the achievement of the objectives of the plan. As such, there is a need for cooperation among the stakeholders in the plan, to make it a success in all aspects. Every person has a right to acquire a quality education, and financial challenges are the main predicament to their realization of their goals in life. As such, something needs to be done in urgency to save the situation before it gets to a point of no return. Everyone will agree with the fact that getting an education is the way out of the poverty life since it will give him or her chances to get employment, and so they start earning.
