-1824 was a turning point in american history that shaped the way our politics run today -SYNTHESIS: similar change that can be compared to this idea is women rights. the idea of republican motherhood was supported which was the idea that the woman would stay at home and teach their sons how to be perfect republican citizens. this shifted when women began to work in factories and things like better pay.
