Quarterback and #5 on William Mckinley High school's football team. He is also the lead male vocalist in the school quire, the New directions. The role is played by Cory Monteith. Who then later breaks up with Quinn and almost marries Rachel.

Lead female vocalist in Mckinley High's New directions. The character is an outcast and usually center stage. Dated Finn Hudson and was engaged in and outside of the show. The role is played by Lea Michele. Was off and on with Jessie St. James ended up marrying Jessie.

Captain of the Cheerios and teen royalty. Dated Finn in Season one and two. Joined the New directions as a spy for one Sue Sylvester. The role is played by Dianna Agron. Gets pregnant by puck. Gives baby away. Ends up leaving the cheerios and isn't a spy for Sue. And ends up dating puck in the end.

On football team doesn't want join the glee club. Friends with Finn and gets Quinn pregnant. Dates Rachel for a short period of time. Has a pool cleaning service. Later joins the Army.

Also one of the top and first members of the New Directions. Usually has the high ballads in competition performances. This role is by Amber Riley. Dates Sam on and off. Had a crush on Kurt. Belts out high runs in competition. Joins the Troubletones Then goes back to The New Directions.

He is gay marries Blaine. Had a crush on Finn. Is stepbrothers with Finn. Has a double wedding with Brittany and Santana.

One of the top Warblers at Dalton Academy. Very sensitive. Has very impressive vocals. Transfers schools to Mckinley for friend Kurt in Season Three. This role is played by Darren Criss. Dates Kurt then marries him. Has Rachel as surrogate mother for his and Kurt's child.

On the Cheerios was a spy for Sue.Marries Santana.Has a double wedding with Blaine and Kurt.Really stupid. Senior class president for 2 years becomes a math genius.

Fierce and very talented Santana is very outgoing and speaks her mind. Was a part of the Holy trinity with Brittany S. Pierce and Quinn Fabray. Also, was once Captain of the Cheerios. The role is played by Naya Rivera. Marries Brittany.

she fake a stutter dates Mike Chang. Super smart. Wanted to marry Mike Chang(and proposed to him at the double wedding). When Mike leaves she starts to like Blaine. This role was played by Jenna Ushkowitz.

Is known for his dancing on stage at Competitions. Is on the football team and joins glee club after the football team does a performance with the athletes. The role was by Harry Shum jr.

Spanish teacher at Mckinley and Director of the New Directions. He despises Sue Sylvester and is very popular at Mckinley High. The role was played by Matthew Morrison.

Works as a Social help at Mckinley and likes Will Schuester. Also despises of Sue Sylvester. She married Carl the dentist played by John Stamos and The school's old gym teacher and gets divorced to them both. In season 5 of 6 Emma and Will get married. The role was casted to Jayma Mays.

The Coach of the Cheerios who always wear sweat suits. She had her own segment on the WOHL newscast of Ohio called ¨Sue's Corner¨. Is always putting the students of Mckinley down and pushing Will Schuester to the next level of anger. The role was played by Jane Lynch.

She fakes a pregnancy to save her marriage with Will. Found out Quinn was pregnant and planned on taking her baby. Played by Jessalyn Gilsig.

Shannon replaces Ken Tanaka and becomes the new football coach. Because sports are considered a bigger money earner than cheerleading and Glee Club, Principal Figgins cuts the Cheerios and New Directions' budgets by 10%. Sue becomes furious at her and Will's budget being cut, so she asks Will to help her "destroy" Shannon. Surprisingly Will agrees, which causes them to become "frenemies." Together, the two of them begin "Operation: Mean Girls" in which the two of them prank and bully Shannon, by ordering a massive amounts of pizza under his name and trying to alienate.

Unique was the lead vocalist of Vocal Adrenaline. She transfers to William McKinley High School. She joined the New Directions, but is now a former member due to the Glee Club being disbanded in New Directions. She prefers that people refer to her as "she" and "Unique," her true self. . She has a crush on Ryder Lynn. Ever since she transferred to McKinley, she appears to be more confident about who she is, although she is still struggling at times.

Sebastian Smythe is a recurring character on Glee. He is the former lead singer of the Dalton Academy Warblers, and is originally portrayed as the show's main villain. He is captain of the Warblers and for much of it leads them in a personal vendetta against the New Directions. After Hunter is forced to step down due to drug scandals, Sebastian is reinstated, and remains in the position. He is last seen helping Blaine propose to Kurt in Love, Love, Love and graduated off-screen after these events. He was portrayed by actor Grant Gustin.

It is revealed that he is gay when he kisses Kurt. He begins his slow journey towards self-acceptance, and redeems himself by forming the Bullywhips with Santana. As means to hide both of their sexualities and to win prom king and queen, Dave and Santana agreed to be each other's beards. Later, he moves schools. He tells Kurt that he thinks he's in love with him. After being outed at his new school as being gay, Dave attempts to commit suicide by hanging himself but the attempt fails and he is briefly hospitalized. He is portrayed by Max Adler

She is a former substitute teacher, who worked at William McKinley High School. She seems to be able to teach many subjects such as Sex-Ed, English, History, Spanish, Math, and French. She is portrayed by award winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Kitty was introduced as a bully and a member of the McKinley High cheerleader squad who slushies the newest members of the Glee club, Marley Rose and Wade "Unique" Adams. She joins the glee club and becomes Marley's worst enemy, but, it is later shown that Kitty also has a soft side. Her harshness and cruelty seems to be greatly lessened, as she is seen becoming a better person, though she still acts rudely in general most of the time.Portrayed by actress Becca Tobin.

She is a waitress at the Spotlight Diner in New York with Santana, Kurt, and Rachel. She joined Kurt's band Pamela Lansbury with Santana, Kurt, Rachel, and Elliott, and later formed a trio called One Three Hill with Kurt and Elliott after Rachel and Santana were kicked out. She was in a relationship with Santana. She is portrayed by actress and singer Demi Lovato.

Principal Figgins is a recurring character on Glee. He has appeared on the show since Pilot. He used to be the principal of William McKinley High School and had been for 27 years. He lost his position of being a principal for a short period of time, with Sue Sylvester replacing him, but he returned to his job successfully. He was demoted to the position of school janitor. Prior to Loser Like Me, he was hired as a part time barista at The Lima Bean. He is portrayed by Iqbal Theba.
