It is the duty of both parents and instructors that they should assist and supply the pupils with all the installations so that they may be able to go the valuable citizens of the state. Students are really the work force of the state. It is they who have to construct the state with their skilled custodies. It is besides the duty of the pupils that they should give their best attempts to their whole academic calling. In recent old ages. most of the universities in Pakistan use the CGPA system to measure the public presentation of pupils. The CGPA shows the norm of overall classs of the semesters of the period a pupil spends in the university. Many universities in the universe are utilizing the same standards for measuring the academic public presentation of the pupils. In Malaysia. instructors evaluate the academic public presentation of the pupils by utilizing the CGPA system ( Agus and makhul. 2002 ) . Besides. in USA student’s academic public presentation is evaluated by doing CGPA. Most of the research has explored many different and of import factors that can impact the student’s public presentation. Most of these factors were income of parents. part of parents in the survey of their kids. the country to which they belong. the educational background of the parents. behavior of instructor in the category. their part in the academic accomplishments of the pupils and the importance of co-curricular activities in their educational accomplishments.
The pupils who have the strong fiscal background tend to hold a more CGPA in their academic calling than the pupils who have a weak fiscal background ( Aghus and Makhbul 2002 ) . The ground may be the pupils with weak fiscal background have to endeavor hard for their surveies every bit good as their life disbursals. Or other ground may be that the rich parents provide their kids with all of import and necessary installations for their educational accomplishments and they in return give good consequences in their scrutiny ( checchi. 2000 ) . Different surveies and research have besides shown that there is a important relationship between the parent’s instruction and student’s public presentation ( Ermisch and Francesconi. 2001 ) . The parent’s instruction is positively related to the student’s accomplishments in surveies ( Durden and Ellis. 1995 ) .
The Aghus and Makhbul in 2001 observed in their survey that the female parents have more influence on their kids academic accomplishments and public presentation. Students’ public presentation in intermediate scrutiny is positively associated with the female parent instruction ( hijazi and Naqvi 2006 ) . The public presentation in the last scrutiny or semester can be the best beginning to measure the future public presentation of the pupils ( Aleamoni. 1977 ) . Equally far as the engagement of the pupils in the co-curricular activities. are concerned these activities have been observed the most of import factor in many surveies. Most of the co-curricular activities are really helpful in building and authorising the academic accomplishments of the pupils. although they do non hold direct impact on curricular accomplishments ( Marsh and Kleitman. 2002 ; Guest and Schneider. 2003 ) .
The people who support the construct of co-curricular activities as assisting tool in the academic attainments of the pupils visualize that these types of activities play an of import function in the development of strong character and wellness. enable the pupils to pass on efficaciously. develop the wont of sportsman spirit and teamwork. construct up the moral and ethical values among the pupils and widen the originative thought. The co-curricular activities have been found positively related to the academic attainments and regular attendings ( NCES instruction policy issues. June 1995 ) . The instructor part is besides a really of import tool in measuring the public presentation of the pupils in the schoolroom.
Doyle ( 1985 ) observed from his survey that those instructors are successful in the schoolrooms that use a assortment of techniques and synergistic manners to learn as compared to those who use formal methods. Another of import factor in this respect can be the part or country to which the pupils belong. It has been observed from the survey conducted by Washbrune ( 1959 ) that pupils who belong to the urban countries give better academic public presentation as compared to those who come from less populated countries. The ground may be the installations and resources are available in copiousness in the urban countries sing curricular and co-curricular activities as compared to the rural countries where these installations are less available. The impact of household size is besides really of import in the kids quality public presentation. This sort of relationship that exists between the household size and the children’s public presentation is good known as quantity-quality theoretical account ( Becker. 1960 ; Becker and Lewis. 1973 ; Becker and Tomes. 1979 ) .
The measure – quality theoretical account has shown that the public presentation of the kids particularly education accomplishments have been reduced due to the larger household size ( Rosenzweig and Wolpin. 1980 ; Hanushek. 1992 ) . The function of instructor has its ain importance in the academic accomplishments of the pupils because it is the instructor who transforms the policies into practical actions which is developed during interaction and coaction with the pupils ( Afe 2001 ) . The teacher’s learning function in the learning procedure of pupils and in their accomplishments has been the topic of several research and surveies ( Adediwura and Tayo 2007. Adu and Olatundun 2007 ; Lockhead and Komenan 1988 ; Schacter and Thum 2004 ; Starr2002 ) .
