Transfer Reports

Triage “Emergent (Red)” Priority 1
Clients who have life-thrententing injuries and need immediate attention and continuous evaluation, but have high probability for survival when stabilized
~eg; truama victims, clients with chest pain, clients with limb amputation, clients with acute neurological deficits, and clients who have sustained chemical splashes to eyes.
Triage “Urgent (Yellow)” Priority 2
Clients who require treatment and whose injuries have comlpications that are not life-threatening, provided that they are treated within 1 to 2 hours; these clients require continuous evaluation every 30 to 60 minutes thereafter
~eg. clients with a simple fracture, asthma without respiratory distress, fever, hypertendion, abdominal pain, or a renal stone.
Triage “Nonurgent (Green)” Priority 3
Clients with local injuries who do not have immediate compications and who can wait several hours for medical treatment; these clients require evaluation every 1 to 2 hours thereafter
~eg. clients with conditions such as a minor laceration, sprian, cold symptoms.
